domestic violence program“Violence against women is a global issue that hinders victims from being productive members of society, women have always played a major role our society…by nature women are nurturers and statistics show that in many cases they are the sole providers in single family households. The BNE Trust is about unlocking potential and empowerment and it is with that objective that BNECT embraced the opportunity to be involved in the first Violence Against Women workshop.”

Eighty participants representing Law Enforcement Agencies, Human Service Organizations, Local and International NGO’s, and Educational Institutions attended a three-day seminar that culminated with the establishment of an Advocacy group that have developed a basic framework plotting the way forward. Their main objective is continued advocacy for all those affected by Domestic Violence as well as Legislative Reform.
